Volunteering at Tokyo 2020 Games

Volunteering at Tokyo 2020 Games

At the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, it is anticipated that there will be over 110,000 volunteers, including both the Field Cast (Games volunteers) and the City Cast (City volunteers).

The City Cast are volunteers recruited and managed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. They are responsible for activities such as offering guidance on transport or tourism to domestic and international visitors at airports, major stations and tourist sites, as well as providing information for spectators at the nearest train stations to Games venues.

The Field Cast are volunteers recruited and managed by the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. They are responsible for supporting the operation of the Games by assisting spectators, operational support at events and media support at Games venues and the Olympic and Paralympic Village.

Recruitment for volunteers for the Tokyo 2020 Games ended on 21 December 2018. Thank you to the many people who applied.
