Management and operation of Ariake Arena

The Ariake Arena will become a new sports and cultural centre for Tokyo after the Tokyo 2020 Games. Taking advantage of its 15,000-seat capacity, the venue will host international sports events and provide attractive entertainment such as music concerts and cultural events.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will manage and operate the Ariake Arena as a public facility operation project (concession scheme) under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) policy.

Application Guideline for Proposing the Concession PFI Project for Ariake Arena (Overview) is the brief description distributed to the applicant (an applicant or a group applicant) over the selection process of the concessioner (the facility operator) by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government under the “Act on Promotion of Private Finance Initiative”.
